Progressing through the story of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will see you involving yourself in the troubles that the different peoples of Hyrule are experiencing since the Upheaval. During your quests, you awaken several Sages that will assist you in your grand mission to stop Ganondorf.
In your adventure, you will find Sage’s Wills hidden across the skies of Hyrule. A Sage’s Will is a unique upgrade item that, like Light of Blessings, you can trade to a Goddess Statue. There are plenty of Sage’s Wills to collect, and here is a complete guide to finding them all.
There will be minor spoilers for story aspects of Tears of the Kingdom below.
Details About Sage’s Will And Tips To Find Them
By trading in four Sage’s Wills to a Goddess Statue, you can deepen your bond with a chosen sage that you have already awakened. This upgrades the vow of the sage into a Solemn Vow, and increases the sage’s attack power when you have their avatar summoned.
There are 20 total Sage’s Wills in Tears of the Kingdom. As there are five sages you can awaken, you will need to collect all 20 Sage’s Wills to upgrade them all.
The Sage’s Wills are completely spread across the skies of Hyrule, you will need to be prepared for long flights and tough fights if you want to get them all. You should first activate all the Skyview Towers, since they will often be the best way to reach the skies in the first place.
Skyview Towers will also be the primary starting point mentioned in this guide to find Sage’s Wills.
Here are some other helpful tips to keep in mind:
- If you are further along in your journey, you will likely have several Shrines in the sky already unlocked, which work as great fast travel points.
- Pack stamina-replenishing meals or elixirs for when diving and paragliding are necessary.
- Using the ability of the Sage of Wind will be essential for reaching far-off sky islands.
- Have enough Zonai devices in your inventory to build vehicles so you can easily fly through the air. An efficient and popular hover bike only needs one Steering Stick and two Fans.
- Keep a hefty stock of Zonai Charges to replenish your Energy Cells for when you use flying vehicles to reach different sky islands.
- You will need to defeat enemies or an overworld boss for some Sage’s Wills. Make sure to have a wide range of weapons, plus stat-boosting and healing meals.

Hebra Sky Sage’s Wills
South Hebra Sky Archipelago (#1)
If you launch yourself into the sky from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower, you can paraglide to the southeast to reach the two islands in the South Hebra Sky Archipelago. The higher island has a treasure chest containing the Sage’s Will.
You will likely need to land on the lower island, but you will see wooden planks, hooks, and Zonai Fans in the area. Use these materials and assemble a platform to ride up the rail connecting the two islands.
West Hebra Sky Archipelago (#2)
This island in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago is very high, and you will need to construct a flying contraption, such as a hover bike, to reach it. You might want to start from sky islands just north of the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower.
Be prepared to fight a King Gleeok, as you will need to defeat it to get the treasure chest with the Sage’s Will.
North Tabantha Sky Archipelago (#3)
To reach the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago, you should first head to the South Hebra Sky Archipelago where you found a Sage’s Will before. Construct a flying vehicle and fly southwest. One method to reach these islands is to fly toward a large waterfall, and then swim up the waterfall using the Zora Armor.
On the first island, you’ll see a couple of mine carts and Rockets that you can assemble on the rail tracks to reach the middle island. On the middle island, there will be a set of rail tracks that curve upwards toward the final island in the chain, but they are broken.
Attach nearby Rockets and Fans to your mine cart, and set it on the new tracks. When you launch yourself off the broken tracks, you will stay in the air long enough to jump and paraglide to the final island, where you will find the Sage’s Will.
To easily bypass the challenge of using rails, you can build another flying vehicle to go straight to the highest island here.
Eldin Sky Sage’s Wills
Eldin Sky Archipelago (#1)
If you launch yourself into the sky using the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, you should paraglide directly north to the main island in the Eldin Sky Archipelago. A lone Soldier Construct will be guarding the treasure chest containing the Sage’s Will.
South Eldin Sky Archipelago (#2)
Once again, launch yourself up using the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, as this island chain is almost directly above it. There are three islands connected by rail tracks. Make your way to the middle island, which also happens to be the largest.
The Sage’s Will is in the halls in the lower level of this island. Cut through the vines to get to the room with the chest.
Akkala Sky Sage’s Wills
Sokkala Sky Archipelago (#1)
Go to the Akkala Highlands and use the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower to launch yourself into the Akkala Sky. You can paraglide slightly southeast to reach the Sokkola Sky Archipelago.
In this chain of islands, you will see a large floating sphere. Make your way to the inside of the sphere, as there will be a chest containing the Sage’s Will in its lower half.
Use Ultrahand to rotate the sphere using the control in its center. The opening of the sphere needs to be level with the platform you are standing on. Go to the opening, and then carefully jump down into the hole that will let you access the lower half of the sphere.
Lanayru Sky Sage’s Wills
Lanayru Sky Floating Sphere (#1)
Make your way to the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower near Zora’s Domain. When you launch yourself into the sky, you will speed past a floating sphere in the sky. The outside of this sphere is constantly rotating, so you will need to time your descent in order to paraglide into the sphere’s opening.
Like the sphere in the Sokkala Sky, you will need to use the controls inside the sphere to rotate its opening to be level with the floor. This sphere has a Zonai Fan automatically turning the control axle, so you will need to turn the Fan off or detach it. The chest with the Sage’s Will is in the bottom half of the sphere.
Wellspring Island (#2)
If you have progressed through the main quest Sidon of the Zora, you will have explored Wellspring Island. There is another Sage’s Will here, and the closest fast travel point will be Igoshon Shrine.
The Sage’s Will is in a treasure chest attached to a Flux Construct miniboss. If you want to be cheeky, you can detach the treasure chest without defeating the Flux Construct.
Lanayru Sky Archipelago (#3)
Another Sage’s Will can also be found in the Lanayru Sky Archipelago. Once again, fast travel to Igoshon Shrine. Use the gliders nearby, or make another flying vehicle, to fly to the island southwest of Wellspring Island.
Here, you will have to face another Flux Construct to get the treasure chest with the Sage’s Will.
Necluda Sky Sage’s Wills
North Necluda Sky Archipelago (#1)
To get to the North Necluda Sky Archipelago, you should use the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. In the skies, you can paraglide to the chain of islands nearby.
In the center of one of the islands is a launchpad that you can rotate around. Rotate the launchpad until it faces a tiny floating island with glowing ore deposits. Step onto the launchpad and let it shoot you over to that island, where you will find the chest containing the Sage’s Will, and several deposits of Luminous Stone.
Josiu Shrine is a nearby fast travel point, and is also part of the North Necluda Sky Crystal quest.
South Necluda Sky Archipelago (#2)
First, make your way to the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. After launching yourself in the air, paraglide south to a likely familiar-looking sky platform. There will be a Flux Construct guarding the chest that contains the Sage’s Will.
Island above Eventide Island (#3)
There is a lonely sky island far to the southeast of the map, directly above Eventide Island. Here, the Sage’s Will is in a chest that will only appear after defeating the King Gleeok patrolling the skies.
To reach this island, you should first make your way to the islands that are slightly east after launching from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. To reach your final destination, you will need to use a flying vehicle. With a little luck, and a lot of prayers (Zonai Charges), you should reach the island to fight the King Gleeok.
Equipping the Zonaite Armor is another way to improve the efficiency of your Energy Cells.
Faron Sky Sage’s Wills
Faron Sky Archipelago (#1)
Head to the In-Isa Shrine on the Great Sky Island where you first learned the Fuse ability. You can paraglide south from the shrine to a sky platform in the Faron Sky Archipelago. The Sage’s Will is located in the chest that is attached to another Flux Construct.
Thunderhead Isles (#2)
You can use the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower to reach the Thunderhead Isles, which also can be reached while progressing through the «Secret of the Ring Ruins» main quest.
About midway through the chain of islands that make up the Thunderhead Isles, there will be one with a small pond in its center. From here, there will be a nearby island at a higher elevation that contains the Sage’s Will in a chest.
You’ll know you’re in the right area when you see a Like-Like through the grated walls. The hallway where the Like-Like lurks can be accessed by blowing up the nearby destructible rocks that block your way.
The Sage’s Will is in the chest right past the Like-Like.
Dragonhead Island (#3)
After passing through Thunderhead Isles for the Secret of the Ring Ruins, you should have ended up on Dragonhead Island. The closest fast travel point you can use is Joku-u Shrine.
Head to the northwest tip of Dragonhead Island, or the end of what looks like its lower jaw. You will find the Sage’s Will in a chest near the edge of the island.
Central Hyrule Sky Sage’s Wills
West Hyrule Sky Archipelago (#1)
Use the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower to launch yourself into the skies and land at the top of Courage Island. Look directly south, and you’ll see a floating island above Satori Mountain.
On that island, another Flux Construct guards a chest with the Sage’s Will inside.
It’s a long flight from Courage Island to the West Hyrule Sky Archipelago, but combine the use of a flying vehicle with paragliding, and you’ll be able to reach it in no time.
South Hyrule Sky Archipelago (#2)
Go ahead and fast travel to the In-Isa Shrine on the Great Sky Island. You can paraglide or use a flying vehicle to go directly west. Your goal is to reach the islands with ponds in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago.
The Sage’s Will is in a chest at the bottom of the lower pond. Use a mix of Ultrahand and Recall to lift and freeze a stone gate that will drain the water in the pond. You should have enough time to jump down into the empty pond and open the chest.
Gerudo Sky Sage’s Wills
Starview Island (#1)
If you launch yourself up using the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower, you can paraglide to one of the small islands that make up the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago. You will see a giant sphere floating nearby, and you will need to use a flying vehicle to get there.
The North Gerudo Sky Archipelago is a low-gravity area, which can help as you travel around.
The opening to the giant sphere, which is also known as Starview Island, faces to the northeast. Inside, you will immediately notice several mirrors, beams of light, and wind vents. Investigate further, and you will find a locked cage with a treasure chest inside, and a light lock right in front of it. You will need to unlock the cage to obtain the Sage’s Will.
To do this, you first have to float down to the center of the room, where a mirror is attached to an axle, and three beams of light emit in different directions. Rotate the axle until one of the sources of light reflects off another mirror in the sphere.
Now, you will need to follow the trail of light, and continue to align the mirrors in the proper direction. Use the air vents to reach higher locations as you follow the trail of light. Eventually, the light will reflect to a mirror that you can rotate to charge the light lock in front of the cage where the Sage’s Will is kept.
Before you leave, rotate that same mirror to reflect light all the way back down to the mirror on the center platform. Jump down and face the mirror the correct way to charge another light lock in the room, which will reveal the Mayasiar Shrine.
Island above Gerudo Desert (#2)
Another Sage’s Will can be found all the way at the southwestern corner of the map, high above the Gerudo Desert. To get this Sage’s Will, you must once again defeat a King Gleeok that patrols the floating arena.
The easiest way to reach this island will be to return to the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago. Put together a flying vehicle, and make the long journey southwest until you reach your destination.
East Gerudo Sky Archipelago (#3)
First, launch yourself into the skies using the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. You will need to paraglide to the east, and land on the northern island in the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago.
There will be a lower level of this island that you can reach by jumping off its northern end, and briefly paragliding to an area of ground that juts out from the side. The Sage’s Will is locked behind a gate down here.
Use one of the mirrors lying around to reflect sunlight at the golden light lock above the gate. After being charged with light for a few moments, the gate will open, and you can reach the chest inside.
