To get here, you’ll need to launch yourself from the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower! Glide south and look out for the Flux Construct below. You don’t need to fight it; just look for the smaller, attached island north of the Flux Construct. There are Zonai Rockets and hovering platforms that you can use there to boost yourself higher and then glide further south to the location of this Old Map.

Cap of Time

There’s one, lone island between the Central Hyrule Sky and the Lanayru Sky where you can find an Old Map. Thankfully, it’s relatively low to the ground. You can launch yourself from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and glide to it. Or, if you’ve already reached the Josiu Shrine south of the Old Map, you can glide from there, too. Either way, we recommend having at least two rings of Stamina.

Trousers of the Hero

This Old Map is surrounded by luminous stones on a very high sky island. Your goal is to get to the island with the Flux Construct beneath the Old Map. To do that, launch yourself from either the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

Attached to the large circle where the Flux Construct is, to the southwest, there’s a connected sky island. There, you can find hovering platforms and Balloons to use. Whenever you’re ready, send yourself soaring with a few balloons on a hovering platform and you’ll quickly be able to jump off and glide to the chest. There are a couple batteries around the area, too; we recommend attaching those to the platform. With two batteries, attached, we used almost four full energy cells to get up there.

Be sure to unlock the Jinodok Shrine as a fast travel point; it makes the rest of this area much easier!

Tunic of the Hero

This Old Map chest is hanging off of a moving platform, wrapped in a vine. To get up to the place, you can either launch yourself from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. It’s quicker from the one in the Hyrule Field, but you can just barely make it if you have the Avatar of Tulin. The Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower is a more sure thing, since you can land on platforms between the Skyrview Tower and your destination.

When you reach your destination, look for a replica of the moving platform. You can use Ultrahand on it to turn it. Just keep turning it forwards (slowly, or it can get confused) to wrap the vine around the platform until you can reach the chest. Cut the vines around the chest and pop it open to reveal the Old Map!

This Old Map is in a chest attached to a Flux Construct; you’ll need to defeat it in order to get it! To get to the Flux Construct, you can launch from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. As mentioned previously, you need the Avatar of Tulin to be able to reach this area from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.

This Old Map can be found in a chest hanging precariously between two islands. From the western part of the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago, with the Jinodok Shrine, glide east to these two sky islands. When you’re on the lower of the two islands, you can just shoot the vine holding the chest. Open it to get the Old Map!

Before you go looking for this Old Map, complete the Tulin of Rito Village and Wind Temple main quests. You may find this Old Map naturally that way. However, if you don’t, start by teleporting to the Kahatanaum Shrine. From there, glide down to the large square platform to the north-west. You’ll find a Flux Construct you need to beat; the Old Map is in a chest stuck to it!

This Old Map’s chest is relatively easy to reach; you can get to the West Hebra Sky Archipelago by launching yourself from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Then, next to the Ijo-o Shrine, there’s a spinning device that can launch you high into the air. Point it at the appropriate sky island with the chest, launch yourself, and glide easily over to it.

Ravio’s Hood

This is another Old Map hidden in a hanging chest. To get to it, launch yourself from the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower and glide to the East Hebra Sky Archipelago (you’ll need at least one and a half rings of Stamina). Be sure to unlock the Taninoud Shrine; you can see the chest hanging on the other sky island from the northernmost edge of that island. Shoot the vine it’s hanging from and then jump down to the lower island to collect your Old Map.

On occasion, a freak coincidence causes the chest to miss the island below where it’s supposed to land. Just leave and come back later; it will respawn. If you can still see it, you can also Rewind it!

You’ll be able to glide to the platform with the Flux Construct quite easily. Pull the chest off the Construct with Ultrahand or defeat it; either way, you have your Map.

For this one, again, don’t do it until you’ve already finished the Water Temple. When you return for it, start from the entrance to the Water Temple, not the Igoshon Shrine. Head west and glide off the temple towards the sport marked on the map above and you’ll locate it easily; the chest with the Old Map is just standing on a hovering island.

This Old Map chest is just on an island between the Water Temple and the Jirutagumac Shrine. You can get there in two ways. If you’ve completed the Water Temple, glide from there to the south-west. If you haven’t, launch yourself from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and glide south-east. Either way, you’ll get the prize.

To reach this Old Map chest, start by launching yourself from the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. Hop from sky island to sky island going east until you reach Mayanas Shrine (there are Zonai devices you’ll be able to use for support). From the Shrine, you can see a chest dangling off the island on a vine. Shoot the vine so the chest lands on the mini island below and open it to get your Old Map!

The second chest with an Old Map in it in this Archipelago is dangling on the far end of the easternmost sky island. From Mayanas Shrine, which you reached for the last Old Map, head to the pond to the north-east. You’ll notice there are hovering platforms you can Ascend through which will take you up to the next sky island (a few of the platforms have rockets for extra help). Keep creatively using Ascend to get up and over to where the chest is dangling. You’ll need to peak over the edge to see it. Shoot the vine, and it’ll fall to the hovering platform below.

If it falls off the hovering platform, use Rewind on it! There’s not a distance restriction, really, not like there is for Ultrahand. If you can see it, you can usually Rewind it.

You can launch from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and land directly on the island where the chest with the Old Map is. If you don’t have quite enough Stamina, though, land on the circular platform next to it where a Zonai Device Dispenser is sitting on an offshoot. There’s a mechanism there that can send you soaring upwards in the right direction when you’re ready.

On this island, you’ll find a lot of Skyshrooms and nuts, and you’ll see the chest hanging from a vine in the circular centre. Drop down; there are a few mini islands with wooden platforms you can use to build with, ensuring your chest won’t fall when you finally shoot the vine.

You’ll need to look for the hovering device that controls how the platform moves, then manipulate it with Ultrahand so that the vine the chest is on wraps around the platform for you to reach it. You can get here easily by launching from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, or the Josiu Shrine if you’ve been to this Archipelago before.

Start from Josiu Shrine in the North Necluda Sky Archipelago (which you can reach after being launched from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower). Glide off that island east and look for a huge waterfall coming off a sky island and pouring towards the surface; it’s extraordinarily long and hard to miss.

Equip the Zora Armor so that you’ll be able to swim up waterfalls and fly right in! You’ll need around 2 Stamina rings and the Avatar of Tulin. Once you’re launched upwards, you’ll find yourself at a little pond. Activate Ultrahand to find the chest with the Old Map hiding underneath the water.

Once you’ve defeated the Construct, just shoot the Flame Emitter to turn it off. Then, the chest is all yours!

Eventually, you’ll get enough height to glide to the appropriate island, where the chest is waiting for you.

The Old Map you’re looking for is hanging on a vine from the northwestern part of the island with a large cross in the centre and a pond on its western side. Shoot it and the chest will fall onto an island below, where you can open it.
