The BT-009S Fastshot Trigger is a necessary item in Star Wars Outlaws that will allow you to finish out the Light upgrade tier for the Plasma module in your blaster. Other materials and parts you’ll need for this upgrade are Slivian Iron and MG-2 Power Exceeders.
While the Slivian Iron and MG-2 Power Exceeders are common resources and simple to obtain, the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger will require a bit more work. Tracking the location of this item is easy enough, as the map shows you where to start looking. But once you’re there, you’ll need to solve a few puzzles to finally get to the item.
Where To Find The BT-009S Fastshot Trigger
The BT-009S Fastshot Trigger is located at Typon’s Rock on Toshara, southeast of Jaunta’s Hope. The part is hidden deep inside the Flyer Ridge cave where pirates have stashed it, along with other valuable loot.
There are several ways to get up onto Typon’s Rock, but the best entrance is on the southeastern side, where you’ll find a climbable wall.
Climb up, turn right and jump down the step, then use your grapple hook to ascend to the ledge above you. From there, climb up the next wall, then follow the path to the left, going up a couple of small steps, until you find a wind tunnel on your right.
The wind comes and goes at short intervals, but there are walls where you can stand to block the wind from pushing you out of the tunnel. Wait at the first wall for the wind to stop, then sprint to the next wall. Wait there, then when the wind stops, sprint forward and into the alcove below.
From there, attach your grapple hook to the branch at your feet on the right and descend all the way to the bottom. When you turn around, you’ll be facing a large gray wall with cracks and orange markings on it.
Blast the wall open, then follow the series of caves and tunnels, collecting other resources on the way, until you reach a large underground location hidden deep in the mountain called Flyer Ridge.
Walk to your right till you find two half walls to climb up. At the top there is a vent you can crawl through, but it’s blocked by a rock. Break the rock with the power module on your blaster, then crawl through to the other side.
From here, swing across the gaps between platforms using your grappling hook, till you come across a large crevice in the cave wall with large wind gusts.
On either side of the crevice are two climbable walls, but you have to time your climbing so you don’t get knocked off by the gusts.
Climb up the wall on the right halfway, wait for the wind to stop, then climb up the rest and jump to the opposite wall. Once here, climb up halfway again, till you’re in front of the piece of rock blocking the wind gusts. Once again, wait for the wind to stop, then climb up to the top and pull yourself up onto the ledge.
Up here is another hole in the wall allowing wind gusts to come through at intervals. Walk forward a bit, then stop and wait. Once the wind stops, you can continue the rest of the way forward.
Once you’re clear, jump down to the next ledge, then use the climbing wall on your right. Follow this dark tunnel until another gust of wind blows you down the sloping path. Just as your ride ends, jump forward and grab onto a climbing wall, then climb up. If you miss it, you’ll fall and start over from the tunnel.
Hook your grappler into the branch above you then descend to the floor below.
To your left is a lift, but there is no power. To power it up, break the rocks to your right to reveal a shutter. Then, have Nix hold open the shutter while you shoot the switch with your ion blaster.
The lift
doesn’t go back up once it comes down
, so you will need to be standing on it when you shoot the switch in order to use it.
Scavenge whatever resources you can find, then continue forward and jump across to the next ledge. Open the chest to retrieve the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger. The energy barrier ahead of you will lead you back out of the cave.
