As mentioned, the beta may not be completely open yet, but that hasn’t stopped it from racking up some ridiculous player counts. Server queues are currently being employed to stop the whole thing from crumbling under the sheer amount of interest, and you can bet on there being disruptions over the next few days as more and more people attempt to join in.
From where we’re sitting, it’s starting to look like Battlefield is (finally) back. Assuming the beta leaves a good impression, it’s difficult to deny that EA’s got an absolute blockbuster on its hands once the game’s 10th October release date rolls around.
