Design Your Dream Home in Infinity Nikki Next Week, PS5 Upgraded to 60fps

Infinity Nikki has endured a nightmare few months, as the release’s v1.5 update retconned the story and completely turned players off.

Infold Games has been on a bit of a rescue mission ever since, and it was always going to hang its hat on its previously announced home builder system, which will launch as part of v1.9 from 1st September.

As previously announced, this update will grant Nikki access to her own personal island, where she’ll be able to build a house, furnish it, and decorate the surrounding grounds as well. You’ll be able to grow crops, fish, and much more – we’re just concerned the feature may lack props in its earliest iteration.

The official blurb reads:

«Even brave travelers need a haven for the heart. A heart-shaped island floating above the clouds is taking shape as a cozy home for Nikki. Infinity Nikki’s Home system officially launches on 1st September! Plant, build, collect stars, raise fish, invite adorable animals – and more surprises await. Stylists, come make this island your own!»

The dev’s really going all-out with this patch, because it’s also plotting a free crossover with Stardew Valley, which will grant additional costumes and items.

In addition, the PS5 version – which currently runs at 30fps – will be upgraded to support frame rates up to 60fps in Performance mode. Presumably this will reduce the overall graphical quality, but it should help make the game play much smoother – especially if you’re on a PS5 Pro.

There’s a trailer showcasing the new home builder above, but we’d expect a more in-depth video later in the week to showcase everything Infold has in store. Perhaps it’s finally time to return to this dress up game, as it works extra hard to restore its reputation.
