As you chase the objective of saving the world from the hands of a tyrant in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you’ll have to recruit quite a lot of heroes for your cause. Some of these recruits join your party automatically with the story, while others need some specific items.

Kurtz is one of the recruits who’ll ask you to get a specific recipe with hardly any directions. He’s also quite an important recruit since he can open up a restaurant in your castle, allowing you to craft various recipes.
Where To Find Kurtz
Kurtz isn’t an early-game recruit by any means, but he’s also not particularly found in the late game either. To get to him, you’ll essentially have to reach the capital of Euchrisse called Hishahn. To do this, you have to get to your own castle and then get past the Treefolk Village arc.
Once you reach Hishahn, you can find him standing on the upper side of the street to the right of the forge. He’ll be in between the forge itself and the armor shop to its right. Kurtz will ask you to get him the Grilled Tutuva recipe if you want him to join you.
Where To Find The Grilled Tutuva Recipe
The first thing you need to know about the Grilled Tutuva recipe is that it only spawns when you take the request from Kurtz. You won’t find it before that, and the NPC that provides you with this recipe also disappears after. Now, to find this recipe, you’ll have to head back over to the Treefolk village.
You’ll have to go through the Greatwoods East or South to do this, but recruiting Carrie can make this process a lot easier since you can just teleport. Once you reach the village, head up the first set of stairs going both ways and you’ll find an NPC on the left side, just in front of the trading shop.
You’ll acquire the Grilled Tutuva recipe after
engaging in a small series of dialogue
with this NPC.
Get the recipe back to Kurtz and he’ll join your cause, allowing you to make the restaurant in your castle. You can give him the correct ingredients to make any recipe here.
