How To Get Jorhan In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Quick Links

With 120 recruitable characters, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has a larger cast of potential party members than any RPG since… well, since Suikoden, of course. The honorable Jorhan Gavulet, eclectic and eccentric, is just one among many. He doesn’t open any new buildings in your castle, nor pave the way for other new content.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Review – The Stars Of Destiny Have Aligned

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has done the impossible and lived up to the hype.

But Jorhan leaves an impression. Quite an impression, in fact. We love him, and we think you’ll love him, too. Read on for how (and when) you can fetch this princely sort to the Alliance cause. Here’s a hint: you’ll need someone else to make it happen.

Where To Find Jorhan In Eiyuden Chronicle

Before you can get Jorhan on your side, you must finish the events at Impershi’arc including the shi’arc race. You can check to see if he’s there after the battle for Hishahn, just in case; but we’re pretty sure he won’t be present. Let us know if we’re mistaken!

Regardless, once Jorhan pops up, he’s in the southwest corner of Hishahn. You can’t miss him; like every other recruitable Eiyuden Chronicle character, he’s got a clearly intentional iconic design. Just talking to Jorhan won’t be enough to get him to truly acknowledge you.

Instead, you’ll need to bring Perrielle in your active party. She can be set in battle or support; it won’t matter which. Perrielle will have a neat conversation with Jorhan; at the end of it, Jorhan asks you to find him an impressive artwork. Now, where might we find that?

How To Get The Right Artwork For Jorhan

The artwork is an appraisal item. Specifically, it’s the appraisal item titled Unknown Antique. There may be other ways of obtaining this, but the scarabs in the Eastern Desert are the primary source.

The game’s script says this outright, but as with all items in Eiyuden Chronicle, it can be tedious to discern precisely where the game intends for you to be.

Wander the Eastern Desert (basically, the shi’arc lands) until you encounter battles with scarabs. The scarabs have a chance of dropping Unknown Antique upon defeat.

helps, too.

Since all appraisal items have a chance of being good or middling, take some time to scoop up several before heading to an appraisal shop. The item you’ll need is Yellow Rose Censer. If you wind up with more than once, feel free to sell the rest!

Bring the Yellow Rose Censer to Jorhan to trigger a rather moving little scene in which Jorhan finds the inspiration he’s been searching for. You’ll learn a bit more about the fellow’s origins via Perrielle, and Jorhan will join the team!
