8BitDo has been putting out some seriously cool tech for years now, and their various controllers are lauded as some of the best 3rd-party offerings out there. For their next trick, the company might have just crafted its coolest gizmo yet: the 8BitDo Retro Reciever for PS is a dongle you can plug directly into a PS1 or PS2 that lets you use your DualShock 4, DualSense, or DualSense Edge to play old favourites.
At 24.99 USD, it’s a steal, and it makes you wonder why Sony isn’t selling something like it (we imagine they might start in the future). For retro enthusiasts, it seems like a dream come true and should cut down on the clutter of having multiple controllers around.
