Nintendo’s amiibo train will come to a stop next month, and no one knows if it will be starting back up again whenever the Switch’s successor is released. There are a couple more significant stops on the journey before we all hop off and wait for the train to potentially start up again though, starting with Noah and Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The pair have been turned into amiibo and are being sold as a two-pack, and since today is release day, there’s limited stock of the figures at Best Buy.
Although the amiibo two-pack is still out of stock on the site, when change the option from delivery to pickup, you will hopefully be able to find somewhere nearby – or not so nearby depending on how much you want them – that you can travel to and pick them up. Although the figures will likely be in stock for a little longer than pre-orders have been when restocked, they still won’t be around for long. There’s also a very real chance that once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
Best Super Smash Bros. Amiibo Figures In 2024
All of the best Super Smash Bros. Smash Ultimate amiibos for you to tap on your Switch and train up.
Also re-releasing today is the Smash Ultimate Shulk amiibo. Likely an attempt to catch the eye of Xenoblade fans grabbing Noah and Mio who don’t already have him, Shulk isn’t the only amiibo getting a reprint. Some of the additions to Smash Ultimate via the Fighters Pass will also see their amiibo reprinted and re-released next month on the same day that Sora’s figure, potentially the last one the Switch ever gets.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Noah And Mio Amiibo Twin Pack
The Noah and Mio amiibo figures from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are available as a twin pack (who would want to separate this pair, anyway?) Both Noah and Mio are in their signature poses, wearing their main outfits, and carrying their trademark weapons: Lucky Seven and the Dual Moonblades respectively.
Nintendo confirmed Sora will be getting his own amiibo during a Direct in 2023. There were fears from collectors and Kingdom Hearts fans that Sora might not get an amiibo, making him the only character on the Smash Ultimate roster without one. Thankfully, whatever licensing issues there were to iron out were dealt with, and Sora’s figure will be here on February 16. His arrival will complete a Smash Ultimate collection made up of almost 100 amiibo since some characters have more than one figure.
If you’ve been picking up amiibo here and there throughout the Switch’s run (or even longer), now is a good time to plug any gaps in your collection. With the future of amiibo uncertain, and some figures already becoming hard to find, pick up any you want now before the prices potentially skyrocket.
