Season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone is live, and the update brings some major changes to weapon balancing, including nerfs for popular weapons like the Cronen Squall battle rifle. You’ll definitely want to adjust your weapon builds for Season 5, and here we recommend various weapon loadouts to try across battle royale and DMZ.
Kastov 545
One of the best assault rifles in Season 5 is the Kastov 545. This is a fairly easy-to-use weapon, and the recommended attachments will help you make the most of the gun at medium- to long- range fights.
Recommended Kastov 545 attachments:
- Muzzle: Harbinger D20
- Barrel: IG-K30 406MM
- Optic: AIM-OP-V4
- Magazine: 60 Round Mag
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
For tuning, adjust the muzzle’s left slider to +0.78 recoil smoothness, and move the bottom slider to +0.65 towards bullet velocity.
Tune the barrel by moving the left slider to +0.18 towards recoil steadiness, and adjust the bottom slider to +0.28 towards damage range.
Adjust the optic by moving the left slider to -1.45 towards aim down sight speed, and adjust the bottom slider to +1.80 towards close. (Some players chose to max out the slider towards close instead of far, but it’s going to be personal preference whether you want a really close and larger optic instead.)
Tune the underbarrel by moving the left slider to +0.68 towards recoil stabilization, and adjust the bottom slider to +0.36 towards aiming idle stability.
Tempus Razorback
The Tempus Razor back is a solid assault rifle choice in Season 5. This weapon has a fast time-to-kill, and the recommended attachments and tuning will help minimize the weapon’s recoil.
Recommended Tempus Razorback attachments:

- Barrel: 16″ Tankr-V
- Optic: AIM-OP-V4
- Magazine: 60 Round Magazine

For tuning, adjust the left slider of the muzzle to +0.58 towards recoil stabilization, and move the bottom slider to +0.28 towards recoil control.
Adjust the barrel by moving the left slider to +0.38 towards recoil steadiness, and the bottom slider to +0.30 towards damage range.
Adjust the optic by moving the left slider to -2.42 towards aim down sight speed, and adjust the bottom slider to +1.80 towards close. (Some players chose to max out the slider towards close instead of far, but it’s going to be personal preference whether you want a really close and larger optic instead.)
Tune the underbarrel by moving the left slider to +0.45 towards recoil stabilization, and adjust the bottom slider to -0.18 towards aim walking speed.
Sakin MG38
The Sakin MG38 is the best light machine gun in Season 5. This is a long-range build perfect for Al Mazrah BR or DMZ, but this gun can be viable in Vondel as well. Just make sure you pair this with a fast secondary option so you don’t get caught reloading. The recommended attachments will help with mobility and control.
Recommended Sakin MG38 attachments:

For further tuning, you can tune the ZLR Talon 5 muzzle with the left slider favoring recoil smoothness at +0.54, while the bottom slider is tuned towards bullet velocity at +0.58.
The barrel can be tuned with the left slider adjusted towards recoil steadiness at +0.28, and the bottom slider at +0.25 towards damage range.
Tune the laser by adjusting the left slider to +0.22 towards aim walking steadiness, and move the bottom slider to -36.18 towards aim down sight speed.
For the optic, tune the left slider towards aim down sight speed at -1.56, while adjusting the bottom slider to -1.65 towards far. (Some players chose to max out the slider towards close instead of far, but it’s going to be personal preference whether you want a really close and larger optic instead.)
For the underbarrel, move the left slider to +0.58 towards recoil stabilization, and adjust the bottom slider to +0.22 towards aiming idle stability.
TAQ-V
With Season 5’s nerf of the Cronen Squall battle rifle, the TAQ-V is the most powerful battle rifle for long-range fights. It does have a bit of a kick, but the recommended attachments and tuning will help make the recoil manageable.
Recommended TAQ-V attachments:
- Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
- Barrel: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel
- Optic: AIM OP-V4
- Magazine: 50 Round Drum
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
For tuning, adjust the muzzle by moving the left slider to +0.56 towards recoil stabilization, and move the bottom slider to +0.33 towards recoil control.
Tune the barrel by moving the left slider to +0.34 towards recoil steadiness, and adjust the bottom slider to +0.35 towards damage range.
Adjust the optic by moving the left slider to -1.35 towards aim down sight speed, and the bottom slider can be tuned to -1.65 towards far.
The underbarrel can be tuned by moving the left slider to +0.48 towards recoil stabilization, and the bottom slider to +0.32 toward aiming idle stability.
ISO 45
One of the most powerful close-range options for Season 5 is the ISO 45 submachine gun. This weapon has a high fire rate, but the recommended attachments will help with managing the kick and boost the mobility of the ISO 45.
Recommended ISO 45 attachments:

- Barrel: 7″ EX Raptor-V2
- Stock: Demo Fade TAC

For tuning, adjust the muzzle by moving the left slider to +0.62 towards recoil stabilization, and adjust the bottom slider to +0.23 towards recoil control.
For the barrel, move the left slider to -0.35 towards aim walking speed, and adjust the bottom slider to -0.26 towards aim down sight speed.
Tune the stock by moving the left slider to -2.84 towards aim down sight speed, and move the bottom slider to -1.55 towards aim walking speed.
For the rear grip, move the left slider to -0.80 towards aim down sight speed, and adjust the bottom slider to -0.35 towards sprint to fire speed.
Vel 46
The Vel 46 is once again one of the best close-range options in Warzone. The recommended attachments will help you make the most out of the weapons mobility, while also helping with recoil control. This can be great for any close combat situations, but it’s definitely a solid build for Resurgence on Ashika Island and Vondel.
Recommended Vel 46 attachments:

For further tuning, you can tune the muzzle with the left slider favoring the aim down sight speed at -0.45, while tuning the bottom slider to +0.30 towards gun kick control.
The laser can be adjusted with the left slider tuned at -0.34 towards sprint to fire speed, and the bottom slider tuned at -35.70 towards aim down sight speed.
For the stock, you can tune the left slider to -2.80 towards aim down sight speed, and the right slider to -1.58 for better aim walking speed.
Finally, the rear grip can be adjusted with the left slider tuned at -0.40 towards aim down sight speed, while the bottom slider can be tuned to -0.38 toward sprint to fire speed.
Signal 50
The Signal 50 has returned as a top-tier choice for sniping in Season 5. This isn’t a one-shot sniper, but the ability to spam multiple shots make this a powerful long-range weapon.
Recommended Signal 50 attachments:

For tuning, move the left slider to -1.15 towards aim down sight speed, while the bottom slider needs to be adjusted to +0.48 towards bullet velocity.
The barrel can be tuned by moving the left slider to +0.35 towards recoil steadiness, and -0.26 towards aim down sight speed.
For the optic, adjust the left slider to -1.94 towards aim down sight speed, while moving the bottom slider to +0.75 towards close.
The rear grip can be tuned by moving the left slider to -0.70 towards aim down sight speed, and the bottom slider to +0.36 towards aiming idle stability.
Finally, the ammunition can be tuned by moving the left slider to +0.36 towards damage range, and +6.10 towards bullet velocity.
